Everlasting Victory

October 22

Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our [a]hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power].

– Romans 5:2 AMP

Pray for the visible manifestation of God’s glory

Going back to Mark 5, we see Jesus getting out of the boat and immediately a man from the tombs with an unclean spirit met Him. The tomb is a dark place. It’s often associated with death. The man was living in a tomb. He was surrounded by darkness. The darkness was not only on the inside but it was manifesting on the outside. No one could bind him, not even with chains (Mark 5:3). No one was strong enough to subdue or tame him (Mark 5:4).

We can’t fight the demonic kingdom in our own strength. We are not on the same level. Only Jesus, the living word of God, can win these battles. We see a human being hosting power greater than him and he wasn’t able to coexist with his contemporaries, because we are not created to interact with demonic beings.

We must be prepared to face battles that are bigger than us, but greater is he that’s in us than he that is in the world. Jesus didn’t speak with the man; he went straight to the unclean spirit.

What would you consider as uncleanliness in your life? Is is a desire for wealth and riches? Is it for power and exploitation of other people? Is it a desire to own something that belongs to someone else? Spend some quality time and ask the Holy Spirit for help with the uncleanliness in your life.

Daily Confession: Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world. Hallelujah.

Thank you, Holy Spirit.
