Behold, I will stir up from the place to which you have sold them, and I will return your payment on your own head.
– Joel 3:7
As we unwrap the witchcraft kingdom, we find all kinds of ungodly practices. It operates under the curse.
Jesus gives us power to trample on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. The power of the witches and wizards comes from a different source, and is fundamentally different than ours. If we study the book of Deuteronomy, we can see the extend of the curse. We can also see a description of the blessing. Jesus overcame the curse, and the power of sin and death. This puts us in a better position that the people of the Old Testament who lived under the blessing.
We overcome evil with good (Romans 12:21). Let’s learn to pray for our enemies and remember that they are under the curse. Let’s bring them to the light of Jesus, allowing them to see that his yoke is easy, and burden light. Let’s walk in forgiveness, let’s share the good news. Let’s not be quick to judge, but honest, patient, and loving.
Prayer: Father, as we walk through this world, we encounter all kinds of evil powers. We walk by faith and not by sight. Holy Spirit, shut our natural sight, and open our spiritual senses, so we may know what is your perfect will in every situation. Let faithfulness, forgiveness, and compassion become our companions. Help us understand those in need of your love and care, and give us the strength, the boldness, and the wisdom to step forward and do the work you have called us to do. Amen.
