When we consider the type of wisdom that the world possesses, it is inevitable that we come to the history of humanity. If we stay within the Bible, we discover the idol worship as the preeminence of gaining wisdom. The wisdom of the gods is considered superior to the human wisdoms. When we discover the type of wisdom that the gods have, we might be exposed to practices that are very much ungodly compared to God’s standards.

We have defined worldly wisdom, gods’ wisdom, and we also have the wisdom of God. In the realm of the wisdom of God, we see the spirit of wisdom and the gift of wisdom. We also find a description of the heavenly wisdom.

The wiseman could be considered wise based on worldly standards. Their wisdom may be seen as time transcending, but it’s not eternal, and it’s therefore destined to die or become irrelevant, outdated, and worthless.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank you for your gift of wisdom. I receive it with an open heart and I ask that you help me use it for your glory. Holy Ghost, raise the standard so May all ungodly people and idol worshippers become utterly blind to it, and let them be unable to cross the line. Jesus Christ’s name, amen and amen.
