Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,
— Isaiah 64:1
We can learn to call on the Lord, and the Bible gives us ways to do it. We can search the Bible for verses that show how the people of the Old Testament prayed. These verses reveal what issues they faced and what troubled them. We can apply the same faith towards the circumstances we face. Men and women of faith have a distinct place in the Bible. We should understand what made them so special in the eyes of God. We should also begin to search for our own place and responsibility in his Kingdom.
As we address the issue of witchcraft, we must understand its impact on our lives. We must recognize the misconceptions that prevent us from seeing our rightful place in Christ. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, so we shouldn’t limit God with present circumstances, but open our hearts and minds for the things of God, things that are specific to us. The Holy Spirit can reveal to us things that are uniquely ours, blessings that are for us, and as we receive them, we can become a blessing to others.
Here are some practical ways in how to partner with the Holy Spirit and fight witchcraft in your life, based on Matthew 7:7-11:
- Study your Bible daily
- Connect your faith with God
- Ask the Holy Spirit for His Wisdom
- Become persistent in prayer
- Ask for what belongs to you specifically
- Seek your place in the Kingdom
- Learn how to receive
- Be thankful in all circumstances
Prayer: Lord Jesus, as we connect to your power, teach us what belongs to us specifically, and how to receive it. As we begin to walk in obedience to your will, show us how to be a blessing and guide others towards salvation. Amen.
