That frustrated the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;
– Isaiah 44:25
We continue with Isaiah 44:25, as we take some time to dwell and abide in the word. Jesus said if you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you (John 15:7). He also said that if you enter a town and whoever will not receive you nor hear your words, when you depart from that house or city, shake off the dust from your feet (Matthew 10:14).
We can clearly see the gospel in operation- the message is from the Father, Jesus is the vine, and we are the branches (John 15:5). As disciples of Jesus, we are sent in the world to spread the good news. As we step into the world, we meet people from different backgrounds and cultures. Divination might be seen as normal in the world, although it contradicts the word of God. Our job is not to judge but to help people come to the light of the gospel of peace. Peace of mind is for those who are mad because of the fruit and the wine of divination.
To be mad is to be mentally unstable. The diviners operate not only under the curse, but also under the counterfeit faith and knowledge. I’d go as far as to suggest that they suffer all kinds of mental diseases. As they consume the fruit of divination, they continue to suffer from depression, mental illness, anxiety, etc. The thing about deception is its impact on the person, leading to degradation of mental health. So all types of sorcery, witchcraft, etc. leads to mental illnesses. We must be prepared to face madness. But glory be to God, Jesus healed every kind of disease and sickness (Matthew 4:23). Hallelujah!
Prayer: Father, your word says that if I abide in you and your word in Me, whatever I desire shall be done for me. I ask for my healing from all divination that has ever been in operation in my life and the lives of my loved ones since and before my birth. I ask for forgiveness for the people involved in these works, I bless and release them and I pray for your will to be done in their lives as it is in heaven. Amen and amen. And let all glory goes to God and God alone now and forever.
