Isaiah 44:25 describes a type of backwardness. We often hear about the Kingdom operating upside down, but there is a way that leads backward. And it all starts with a lie.

Every time you tell a lie, you take a step backward, entering a world of foolishness, confusion, and madness. It may sound like a game at first, but suppose you build a world around it, eventually becomes magical, and awe-inspiring. The condition, or the entry point is a lie. A small lie, a big lie, it doesn’t matter, a lie is the ticket to what might be considered a world of magic. Some people might find this to be a type of fantasy, as it work well with logic. Thinking backwards is not easy.

There are many forms of witchcraft, this perhaps reveals one of those forms, but it all adds up to foolishness. When you feed your spirit with foolishness, you become a fool. These are types of cravings. Perhaps not all the time, but there are times and seasons, especially when you are in a specific age, when this type of witchcraft seems just right. I can testify for myself when I was so very interested in witchcraft. It was so appealing. It was pulling me in, making it seem so innocent. Yet, it backfired. I remember the feeling- it was surreal, as if I was traveling in an imaginary world.

People do want supernatural experiences. They always have. As long as the good prevails, a small portion of evil might seem right. However, witchcraft is a powerful entity, and a child of God shouldn’t be playing with the things of the enemy. If the Holy Spirit is not enough for us, this means we should spend more time in God’s presence until we are filled with His Spirit.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, break the yokes of slavery that witchcraft puts us under, and help us set others free, as we testify about Jesus. Make known that witchcraft is a type of demon that captures the souls and leads them to eternal destruction. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
