Understanding God’s Separation from the Unrighteous

That frustrated the tokens of the liars, and maketh diviners mad; that turneth wise men backward, and maketh their knowledge foolish;

– Isaiah 44:25

While thinking about how to deal with the unrighteous men, God become very specific about His plans and purposes. These individuals are obviously much more influential in the natural realm. I’m quite aware of their vanities and lack of fairness. They have no interest in doing the right thing. They go above and beyond to get what they want and are ready to pay any price. They would go as far as sacrificing their own children on altars. They are burdened by selfishness, jealousy, envy, and hate. We find a detailed description of them in the book of Jude: These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots; Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever. (Jude 12-13)

I will put a division between my people and thy people: to morrow shall this sign be (Exodus 8:23). So the first thing God does is He separates us from them. God’s salvation power causes separation. When we become born again, we are rejected and forsaken. I remember facing the fear of rejection, the shame and backlash from my own family. It’s not an easy thing. Some face persecution, others are beaten, and thrown in prisons.

Prayer: Holy Spirit, thank you for the separation from my works.
