Give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar and to God what belongs to God.
-Matthew 22:21
Learning to protect our lives from intruders is an integral part of our Christian walk. We are not subject to this system, but to the Kingdom of God and his righteousness.
As we yield to the Holy Spirit, we’ll learn to shield ourselves from the authority of the earthly governmental system, while remaining honorable citizens. It is evident that ungodly people are found in places of authority. This is why we need the help from the cloud of witnesses when stepping on the governmental turf.
We begin our Bible study and follow Jesus and Paul, examining their relationship with earthly governments. We must respect our leaders and still establish our boundaries, based on Biblical principles, acknowledging God as our source. The tribulation period is a confirmation that ungodliness will increase in the last days. We shouldn’t be surprised if we are challenged by earthly mindsets.
But we shall know the truth, and the truth sets us free. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
