Stripping the devil of its authority over us

Neither give place to the devil – Ephesians 4:27

As we address our position in Christ, we are to also consider the role of the earthly authorities in our lives. We must learn to sincerely pray for our leaders and people in position of power, as Paul instructs us, while also exercise our authority as believers. The Lord has given us all the power, and the enemy comes to steal it from us. It is a sign of immaturity when we avoid our responsibilities and provide opportunities to the devil to exercise his power. Here are a few practical steps to take as believers in Christ Jesus, not the Virgin Mary.

Step #1: Understand that we have all the power – Luke 10:19

Step #2: The devil has no power unless we allow it

Step #3: The unbelievers have no power over the devil

Step #4: The devil uses the unbelievers by giving them power

Step #5: We don’t fight with unbelievers

Step #6: We fight satan’s power working through the unbelievers

Step #7: We need the power from the Holy Spirit when fighting the power of Satan

Step #8: We already have the victory over all the power of the devil

Step #9: We must exercise our dominion over Satan and his kingdom

Step #10: We must not give the devil an opportunity, a foothold, a place in our lives.

Amen.
