We already know that the Lord is our shepherd, but to know Him as our keeper is a whole knew level of goodness. He is the one who keeps us alive. He is the one who has us in His treasury. He is the one who knows our true value. He is the one who protects us.

Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:19-21)

The Lord keeps my heart safely in heaven, where satan has no access to. The enemy can not steal or kill or destroy my heart, because I am in the treasury of heaven, and I can rest assured that no matter what happens to me here on earth, my soul is saved and securely placed in the realms of heaven, where Jesus rules and reigns. He keeps me safe and although I experience all kinds of hardships down here, where satan is alive and active, up there where my heart is, peace reigns. My life is hidden in Christ! Praise the Lord.
