Where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Corinthians 3:17) Our inheritance is spiritual. It comes from the Father and through the Holy Spirit. Joy unspeakable is part of our spiritual inheritance. We don’t arrive at it overnight. As we yield to the Spirit and learn to receive and follow His instructions, we become spiritually mature.

The things of God come through the Holy Spirit and are holy. Joy unspeakable is supernatural but also holy. If we want to receive the things of the spirit, we must grow in holiness. We grow in holiness through the word of God. By reading, meditating, speaking and hearing the word of God, our old nature is gradually replaced by the realities of the new man. Our spirit man knows no boundaries, no limits, no sin, and no set backs. We are being perfected after the image of Christ.
