A word of encouragement is a priceless gift to those who can receive it. Not all hearts are open to receive good counsel. Most of them walk and live in darkness. The Bible calls them “wicked” because they don’t want to hear and understand. They prefer darkness. Pride keeps them bound to stubbornness, jealousy, envy, greed, and all kinds of falsehood. The eyes of their hearts are closed to the goodness of God. They walk and stumble, unable to arise.

The kind soul would not harm others. S/he doesn’t set trapps, or wish evil, or try to benefit from others. People who are kind are always willing to learn and offer kind words, whenever possible. Building others is not easy. Kindness is what binds the wounds, heals the soul, and rebuilds a life.
