My peace I give you – John 14:27

Every good and every perfect gift is from above. There is peace that belongs to God. It’s a type of peace and it has properties – 1). It’s not like the peace that the world gives 2). It surpasses all understanding 3). It gives no room for worry or troubling thoughts.

How do we receive His peace? We must be humbled as a child and simply receive it from above. We are ought to be be saved, because God will not give something that belongs to His son to be used, mistreated and destroyed. We must be willing to leave everything behind and follow him even to the end of the world. Since the world gives false peace, we can no longer rely on something that belongs to the world. We must be willing to leave it all behind, so that we can receive the new, the real peace that belongs to God and God alone.

Prayer: Father, I no longer need the peace that this world gives. I am willingly leave it all behind, and I am ready for the new – the peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank you for the Holy Spirit. Amen and amen.
