I thank my God every time I remember you. – Philippians 1:3
Every time I think of you, I give thanks to my God. How many people are there in your life who cause your heart to respond with gratitude, each and every time they cross your mind? One, two, … ten?
Paul’s letter to the church in Phillipia speaks volumes about its members – I thank my God upon every remembrance of you. Paul was addressing the congregation. I am not quite sure as to how many people belonged to the church, but his words confirm that they were worthy of his praise.
We are called to follow the same manner of lifestyle. Kindness causes people to remember you for the good you’ve done. Kindness leaves good memories. It attracts others. It makes them respond with gratitude. Kindness plants seeds in the hearts of people. We shouldn’t take this lightly. On the contrary, we must make each and every effort to bless people from all walks of life. Remember, the kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed.
Prayer: Father, make us worthy of your praise. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
