Freely you have received, freely give – Matthew 10:8
When we think of good news, we can think of us being the good news – we give good news to others. And this is the good news: Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and on the third day he arose from the death. If we receive him as our personal savior, we have redemption for our sins.
We can receive him by praying this simple prayer: Lord Jesus, I repent for my sins and surrender my life to you. Come into my heart, and be my Lord and Savior. Wash me clean. I believe that you died on the cross and rose again on the third day. Amen.
This is the first step to a new life. Many things happen after we accept Jesus in our hearts. Our life becomes a living testimony of who Jesus is. We can expect life changing encounters, things that are supernatural and can not be explained by any other means, except “It was God!“. It wouldn’t be good news if we can’t say it from the heart! Our lives must speak for the goodness of God!
Father, I am good news. Amen.
