But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. – Isaiah 53:5
Every wound needs time to heal. The same applies to the soul. Our souls heal from the issues of this world. Patience gives us the power to wait while healing takes place.
Patience is the way to wholeness. When the woman with the issue of blood touched the garment of Jesus, she was healed on the spot but her faith had made her whole. Faith and patience work together. Patience and faith can erase the scars and bring wholeness to the places of deep hurt.
When we are born again, Jesus moves in our lives and it is his desire to restore all things. Some things are made new, but there are other parts that require time. He gives us patience to wait until every wound receive healing. While we wait, we can spend time in his word and grow in our faith.
Imagine being in a hospital room and the Healer is right there with you. Can He heal you instantly? Yes. But do you have the faith to receive the healing or do you need time for the recovery process? Each one of us is different and has different faith capacity. The more faith, the faster the healing process is.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Father, I choose to hear your word while I wait for my complete, total healing. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
