You shall be free indeed. – John 8:36

There is freedom in Christ that can not be fully explained. As you become kind to others, you yourself find freedom. You are free from opinions and the expectations of others. You walk in humility and by doing so pride is no longer dominant.

Kind people don’t gossip. They encourage and strengthen others. They don’t judge and are willing to listen and understand. Blessed is the one who does not sits in the seat of scoffers. (Psalms 1:3) A kind-hearted person doesn’t have sharp tongue. It avoids opportunities to hurt others. Kind people have softness and a pleasant presence. It’s challenging to be angry with kind people. Their way is blameless.

When was the last time you had a conversation with a kind person? How did you feel afterwards? Did you appreciate them? Begin to recognize and cherish the kindness around you. Take note of it and make it a habit to show appreciation each and every time you come across kind people.

Father, I want to walk on the path of freedom in Christ. Make my ways blameless. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
