Rejoice Always: Completion

I am sure of this, that he who started a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. – Philippians 1:6

Paul had confidence in the ability of the Holy Spirit to complete the good works the Father had started in us. And so should we. We have no control over our past – the family we were born into, the type of skin color we have, the prosperity level of our parents, country, or continent. It all becomes irrelevant once we are saved. We are now children of the Most High and belong to the family of God.

The process of renewing our mind takes time, but it’s necessary for the building of our future. Little by little, we can erase all the negatives from the past, shatter the voices of our ancestors, and venture into the new realms of influence, power, and good works. Nothing is too hard or too far for the Holy Spirit. We walk in new realms, we develop new skills, and form new habits, independently of what was. Our pain turns into joy, and our future is filled with new beginnings.

Father, as I feed on your word today, open my eyes to the new beginnings you have in store for me. In Jesus Christ’s name, amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
