Have Peace: My Peace

my peace I give you – John 14:27

There are not that many things that Jesus claimed to be his, but the peace belongs to him, and he gives it freely. Who wants and needs peace? Those who have burdens in their hearts, those who are troubled and have no rest.

When you need peace, go to God. Don’t look for it in magazines, yoga studios, spa salons, ski resorts, etc. Look for God, the source of all peace. When everything goes well then enjoy the restful opportunities this world offers, but when you truly and honestly need peace, then it’s time to go in prayer. Do you need prayer? Learn to pray fr yourself and for others. It’s OK to ask ministers and church members to pray with you and for you, but knowing how to approach God in prayer is the responsibility of every born-again believer and there is no one that can do it for you. Our personal salvation begins with a simple prayer:

Pray this aloud: “Lord Jesus, I repent of my sins and surrender my life. Wash me clean. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. That he died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day for my Victory, I believe that in my heart and make confession with my mouth, that Jesus is my Savior and Lord. I receive eternal life, in Jesus name, Amen.”

Father, in the name of Jesus, I want to learn to pray for myself as a born-again believer. Amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
