And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power – Acts 1:7
Kind people are not nosy – they don’t ask questions that would make the other person feel uncomfortable. Kindness respects the need for privacy. If someone is going through a though season, the kind thing to do is to respect the need of solitude.
Sometimes the Lord commissions us with the task of prayer. It could be a prayer vigil, or an intercession for others. When this happens, we need space to calm down before the Lord. Prayer is a humble state of submission. People and jobs can distract us. If we are driven to a state of prayer, we can not always explain the reason and purposes for it. We just have to obey His instructions.
In those moments, the Lord might reveal things concerning other people. We can be polite by calling and/or writing the person God has brought to our attention, but to be kind is to show compassion where compassion is due without necessarily letting the person know what was revealed to you by the Lord. Kindness can be used in places where nobody sees or hears. Politeness, on the other hand, is the way we present ourselves to others.
Can you see the difference between polite and kind answer?
