Love always trusts – 1 Corinthians 13:7
Trust is inseparable from love. When we walk in love we trust not people, but God who is love. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. (1 John 4:8) Love is tested and some trials will only be passed if the love of God abides in us.
If you trust God, then you will not be angry at people who betray you. Love doesn’t take things personal. It is God who will judge; because he is the perfect judge. I rather be judged by God and pass his test than try to vindicate myself against people who come to steal, kill, trip, and block my progress. God is in control, and I choose to forgive and forget the wrong and evil done to me. Jesus is all I need, His grace is sufficient for me, and no Judas can win against me or the plans and purposes God has established for me before I was born.
When Judas betrayed Jesus, he only made way for Jesus to fulfill his calling. Someone had to do it, and when the time came, Judas answered the call. Satan entered him, and his devilish plan was executed. Jesus gave his permission – it wasn’t Peter who gave Jesus to the solders, because Jesus had prayed for Simon Peter. Could have Jesus prayed for Judas as well?
Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the love that will sustain me during test and trials that evolve betrayals, backstabbing, and backbiting. I choose to forgive and release all people who plan against me. Turn all their plan into blessings and let your will be done in my life, and in theirs. Amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
