Yes, and I will continue to rejoice – Philippians 1:18

Paul made a powerful declaration: Yes, and I will continue to rejoice. (Philippians 1:18) He didn’t look for reasons, he simply committed to be joyful. Jesus said whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. (Matthew 16:25) We have reason to rejoice always – we belong to the Kingdom of God forever. Even if we die in this very minute, we are going to heaven. Hallelujah! What we fight is already defeated. Jesus conquered them all. Our job is simply to enforce the victory that Jesus won.

Jesus won forever. Nothing in the entire creation and existence can change it. Our past is redeemed, our present and future belong to him. Every aspect of our lives belong to Christ. Our families belong to him, our bodies belong to him, our souls belong to him. If anyone steals from us, s/he steals from Christ. Amen. We continue to walk in every privilege we have received from him. We exercise our authority, our victory, and our eternal glory in Christ. Hallelujah!

We belong to a Kingdom, we are kings and priests, forever.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I loose my life from everything that binds it on earth, in heaven, and under the earth. I am saved and my salvation includes complete, total, and eternal freedom. Amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
