If we take the word “love” and write it in every verse we see Jesus mentioned, we are going to discover properties of love we are not familiar with. Yes, there is love between two people, who have feelings for each other, or between a husband and a wife, between a mother and a child, etc. But love is also a type of light that has an expression through people. Those who choose to follow Jesus and are intentional about it, we’ll be exposed to a light not seen by others, and perhaps invisible to the human eye.

Deliverance ministry brings to the forefront the so called soul ties. If we want to follow Jesus, one of the major things that will happen is a disconnect between us and all the soul ties that have been formed throughout our life. Think of unplugging from all the light sources this world has us connected to, every experience, knowledge, plan, sexual connection, etc. We are called to leave the world behind and that includes, mothers, fathers, children, loved ones, friends, community, religion, education, etc. Every plan we have ever had, every dream we have ever dreamed, every form of understanding will be challenged, tested, and pulled down if it’s against the knowledge of God. If there is a stronghold, it will be destroyed. Strongmen and demonic entities hide in these places and we will have to subdue every high thought, every reasoning and vain imagination, and replace it with the word of God.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I am choosing to follow you knowing that my life will be subdued by your light. Amen. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
