Love Daily: Sinless

She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” – Matthew 1:21

For whatever reason, people love sin. It’s easier to follow our own desires, thoughts, and plans, rather than to consider another person’s feelings – a family member, a neighbor, or a stranger.

The birth of Jesus was supernatural. He was born for a purpose – the salvation of his people from their sins. He wasn’t born to save himself from his sins, because he was sinless. Jesus was born perfect, he walked in perfect obedience, and died sinless. But in the spirit realm, there was a transaction – his sinless life for the sins of men. He became sin. He took on our entire sinless nature and became sin. There was a spiritual birth, as well as physical.

Once we become born again, our nature changes in the spirit. We don’t see or feel anything. It’s a supernatural birth and it’s spiritual. What started with the spirit continues in the spirit. And we are sinless, because of his blood. We may be trapped in a sinful lifestyle for a season, but as we grow stronger, we break free from the chains that bind us to sin.
