Patience: Bless the Lord

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. – Psalm 103:1

Learning to bless God takes patience. We have to get to know him first, his character, his nature, his ways. Only then we can bless his name, by becoming a living breathing proof of his goodness. If we are under spiritual attack when the devil launches evil reports, curses, enchantments, and all kinds of sorceries, the wise thing to do is to be patient.

What do you do when everything goes wrong? You wait on him. We have the inward witness who shows us the way to go and the things to say. The word that surrounds us is irrelevant. It’s the Lord that matters.

The beauty of waiting on God is the opportunity to have a deeper relationship with him. To ask for more of him, more of his word, more of his spirit, more time in his presence, more peace, more revelation, more of his love.
