John the Baptist had an office, and although Jesus is the son of God and was greater than John, Jesus took the lower position in order to fulfill the law of righteousness. The same law is still in effect. There are offices in the spirit and those who fail to honor them will have to accept the consequences. We are not greater than Jesus, but we have the right to do greater things than the things Jesus did. As we follow Christ in obedience, he gives us the grace to continue in new assignments and new conquests, according to his will, plans, and purposes for our lives.

The office of John was met by Jesus. The office of baptism is still in effect but it’s the office of the Holy Spirit. We can only continue forward after being baptized by the Holy Spirit. He gives us power to continue. Without it, we can not move forward. The only alternative source of power is the counterfeit Holy Spirit, the Antichrist, and the demonic realm. Those who choose them as their resource will continue towards the kingdom of darkness. You can not drink from the cup of demons and still drink from the Lord’s cup. You can not eat from the table of demons and still eat the Lord’s table (1 Corinthians 10:21).

It is a sad thing to choose the wrong power source – it is the power of evil. Once evil enters your life it will never leave. He who earnestly seeks good finds favor, But trouble will come to him who seeks evil (Proverbs 11:27). Evil will never leave the house of one who pays back evil for good (Proverbs 17:13). It is wildly known that good overcomes evil, so choosing the evil one is not a small thing. The intention to look after evil comes from the seed of evil. Then when lust is conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death. (James 1:15) Amen.
