In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee. – Isaiah 54:14
God is love, not lust. Choosing to walk in the way of love is the way to victory. But we meet God there. It is a dangerous road. If you are not called, you better not approach him. God is not a man that he should lie. A liar will not be able to cross the line, a thief will not be accepted, and a murderer will be turned down.
God calls, and he qualifies those he calls. He doesn’t just ask you to do something and then leaves you alone. He will hold you responsible for every single thing – from the words you speak to the actions you take, even to the thoughts you have. He is God after all. There is no man, no matter how self-exalted s/he might be that can stand before God. If not equipped s/he will be destroyed. For God is a righteous God and all-consuming fire.
Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. (Psalm 34:19) Lust for money, lust for power, lust for fame, and all types of lusts will be destroyed. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17) The path of love requires change. It is designed to destroy the old nature and to enthrone Christ. Walking on it is pointless if you expect to gain something other than the nature of God. Evil will be destroyed.
