Love Daily: Christ Is Proclaimed

For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. – Philippians 1:21

There is a point of revelation, where a Christian no longer needs the love of this world. The love of parents, siblings, children, friends, etc. It’s the point of death. The more we die to ourselves, the more Christ lives in us. With time we loose our desires, will, and emotions, and we no longer feel the need to be loved and cared for. We live for Christ, who lives in us. It’s the work of the Holy Spirit and it can not be explained with human wisdom.

One can die of old age, of sickness, in war, for the honor of a country, a family, and even for self. But what a glorious death it is to die for God! God died for us, so we also die for Christ. It can be a slow death – by dying to the flesh daily, or it can be a sudden death – however it comes, death is imminent and we leave it to the Holy Ghost, who knows how and when to call us out from this world and translate us in the heavens.

Prayer: Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, let my death be for your glory and according to your will. Amen.
