In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. – 1 John 4:9
Jesus is the manifested word of God on the earth but his coming was prophesied throughout the Old Testament. God is never late and God is never early. God is always on time in time and out of time. Jesus is the Lord of Sabbath. For those who try to get ahead of God because of strife and jealousy will gain nothing. It’s the flesh that profits nothing, but godliness is profitable unto all things.
Patience tests our flesh. Our spirit is perfect. But the flesh is very impatient. Patience comes from the fruit of the spirit, and it is a result of the works of the spirit. Patience allows the spirit to remove the things that are not of God. Every form of imperfection will be revealed through patience. The spirit is at war with the flesh. This is why we need our daily bread that comes from the word of God. Our spirit feeds on the word of God, and as it does it grows and leads to the perfect day of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every believer begins on the same level – the confession that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior. God is not respecter of a person. If you need more patience, then ask the Holy Spirit and let him provide what you need to grow stronger and produce the patience God requires from a believer. The ultimate plan is for us to become Christ-like and to overcome the old nature.
