When people began to multiply on earth, there were giants in the land, men of renown. The sons of god mixed with the human race, and produced giants. And God was displeased with all of them.
But Noah found grace in God’s eyes. His name means “comfort” and his parents named him so because of the curse that was upon the land. Noah walked with God and build an ark. Then God sent a flood which destroyed the entire human and animal population that was on earth at the time.
What is to be learnt from history? Wickedness leads to destruction. When the wickedness arises, God will respond properly. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. TV, Internet, all satellite technology have nothing to do with God. The only thing that Jesus used against satan was “it is written”. Jesus is the ark. Only those who are in his word will pass the eternal test.
There are natural disasters and they come suddenly, bringing terror upon the people. They remind us that kingdoms and nations come and go, but the word of God remains. If all your hope is in a house, possessions, and bank accounts, fire, flood or a hakker are sufficient to do the damage. But when you are firmly established in the word of God, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. When God is your protection, no thief can come. The word of God is the only assurance against the wickedness of men, beast, and supernatural beings. Wickedness will be dealt with. God never overlooks wickedness, no matter how small or how great. Every sacrifice is counted for, and when Jesus died on the cross, his blood canceled every ungodly trade, every unauthorized exchange, and every wicked action.
