Now if I live on in the flesh, this means fruitful work for me; and I don’t know which one I should choose. – Philippians 1:22
When we arrive to the place of choice, we face the power of the flesh and the power of the Spirit. But glory be to God, the Spirit will always win.
The fruit of joy is a fruit that is produced because there is root, there is growth, there is a blossom, and finally when it’s time, the fruit is produced and matured. The process is observed by the Holy Spirit. When the thief comes to steal, the Holy Ghost will be in place to protect what was planted, and grown. Our life can produce the fruit when we no longer walk in the flesh. When we loose the desire to sin, to follow our passions, and find our joy in the word of God and in our commune with God.
Words can not express the joy of dwelling in the presence of God. What the satan and his cohorts lost, what Adam and Eve lost, we are free to enjoy. An unbeliever can not understand what a believer finds in the Bible. It’s pointless to even try to describe something that exists in a different realm. Even those who consider themselves spiritual, are not aware of the realities of the Holy Spirit and the word of God.
Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, let your will be done, thy kingdom come, on earth as it is in heaven. Let Christ be proclaimed and glorified in every area of my life. Amen.
