There are things that we can do and then there are things that only God can do. Paul instructs us to be at peace with all men. But we can and should wage war to evil.

The foundation of our faith is the works of Christ on the cross. Jesus died on the cross for my sins and for the sins of all humanity. Living in peace with all men is based on the sacrifice Jesus made for the humanity. Not for satan and his fallen angels. We are called to pray and intercede for others, and as we do, we can find peace with them, no matter how deep their sin is. Our hope is that the Lord can grant them the gift of repentance.
