What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is proclaimed, and in this I rejoice. Yes, and I will continue to rejoice – Philippians 1:18
Jesus Christ is the son of God, he is the true God and eternal life. He died on the cross for the sins of all humanity and was raised on the third day, and is now seated by the Father in heaven. All who believe in Him will be saved. Those who don’t believe in Him will enter eternal damnation.
This is the gospel of Jesus Christ, proclaimed by the apostles and the foundation of Christian faith. It is our confession before God and man. When we join a community of believers, we can grow in our understanding of the kingdom, but outside the body of believers, we must continue to strengthen our faith by confessing Christ in the spirit realm. There are many deceivers and tempters in the spirit as well as among men.
When Paul was followed by the girl who was a fortuneteller, he spoke to the spirit directly commanding him to come out of her. The spirit knew who Paul was and why he was sent; however it is unclear if this public announcement was against God’s purpose. When we enter communities of unbelievers, we are not to judge quickly. Sometimes we need to be silent and strengthen our innerman before making an announcement. There are spirits that communicate to others and although they speak the truth, there is no truth in them. There are principalities and powers in the spirit realm and we must confront them as well as the people that are subjected to them.
