We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose. – Romans 8:28

Change is constant. Sometimes change causes fear, other times excitement, and occasionally surprise. There are small changes over time, like the wrinkles on your forehead, and then there is the permanent change, when your hair turns white.

How we perceive change is a sign of strength or weakness. Adaptability is needed and we can flex that muscle if we choose to. We can’t stop change, it’s bigger than us, so at least we can try to prepare for it. If change is steady, we may never feel it’s effect, but if it’s disruptive, we might face the fear of loosing control.

When change comes, however, there is one thing that remains certain – God is always good. This is what Paul refers to in Romans 8:28 – all things work together for our good. We may not understand how and why, but we can choose to believe it. And the choice in itself will cause us to change.
