Money in the natural are subject to laws. We don’t need money when we go to be with the Lord in Heaven. We need money here on earth to meet our needs, wants, and the needs and wants of others. If your needs are material, money can help, but if your need is spiritual, money does not have all the answers.
It’s important to understand our shortcomings. A simple list of our needs and wants is a good starting point. This is how we can set the tone for a healthy foundation and a healthy growth. A budget is a great tool for keeping and managing our resources. We may need a professional help from an accountant of a financial specialist. We need to pay our ties and offerings and remain faithful stewards. We can’t be angry at God or other people who are wealthier than us because that puts us in a disadvantage. Instead, we can learn from others how to do better. But we can also face strongholds that are difficult to pull down in our own strength.
What is a stronghold? It is a form of preconceived idea that gives us false security. As you progress in spiritual warfare, you will soon realize that a stronghold can host a strongman – an evil spirit of some kind that oppresses the person and hinders spiritual growth. This is why we need help from the church, the body of Christ, and the word of God. We are called to “pull down the strongholds and every high thing that exalts itself above the knowledge of God” (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). Since all of this is happening in the spirit realm, and affects our thinking, we must remain diligent with our Bible studies and learn how to engage in spiritual warfare.
